We will be playing as part of the World Listening Day Preview held at Cafe Oto, FRIDAY 16th July, exploring the sounds of East Londons Soundscape, along with many other artists.

“Fruit for the Apocalypse invite you to participate in a preview of East London Soundscapes at Cafe Oto. East London Soundscapes has been created for the first World Listening Day, which happens in a secret location on Sunday, July 18, 2010. The purposes of World Listening Day are to celebrate the practice of listening as it relates to the world around us, environmental awareness, and acoustic ecology to raise awareness about issues related to the World Soundscape Project, World Listening Project, World Forum for Acoustic Ecology, and individual and group efforts to creatively explore phonography.”

After a many long discussions, myself and Lucia have decided to go ahead with our new exciting project which will be our new small label called threeplusone. This new label will be another place for us to realize our work and also to collaborate with other sound artists in releasing works together.

Recently we both had the pleasure of meeting with sound artist Felicty Ford, and was involved in a discussion that she organised for the podcast Cut and Splice program series: Living Rooms. We met with Felicity and other sound artists to discuss domestic soundscapes, sonic wallpaper and many views on how we understand and relate to sound within our own sonic environment and the sonic environment around us.
